Storm Information for The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute Community

(Updated 09/27/2024, 4 p.m.)

As the extent of the damage from Hurricane Helene emerges, we are reminded of the importance of preparation and vigilance during Florida’s storm season. While there are currently no named storms affecting the Jupiter, Florida area, the western Caribbean and the Atlantic tropics remain active.

Please review our local storm preparation resources. There you will find links to check whether you live in an evacuation or flood zone; local weather links and disaster supply checklists.

The UF Scripps Emergency Management Committee coordinates all phases of our hurricane response. To see a copy of The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute’s Tropical Weather Plan, contact EHS.
