The Glenn W. Bailey STEM Education and Outreach Programs provide science education experiences for students, educators, and groups in Palm Beach and Martin counties. Participants interact with scientists and learn about drug discovery through hands-on activities. Most suitable for high-school age students.
The program also supports immersive lab learning for a selected group of high school students through the Kenan Fellows internship.

Apply for the Kenan Fellows High School Summer Internship

This nine-week summer immersive research experience is for rising juniors and seniors attending high school in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Explore a career in biomedical research and drug discovery!

Kenan interns work full-time with mentors, conducting real biomedical research. They are paid a stipend for their efforts.

Experience Hands-On Research

Schools and youth-supporting community organizations can request a visit from our scientists to their science night or career day. Learn about drug discovery and careers in research through an interactive activity. Visits are filling up quickly for the academic year 2024-25. Most suitable for high-school age students.

Schools and youth-supporting community organizations can request an educational field trip and laboratory tour on our Jupiter campus. We have limited opportunities and encourage early requests for the 2024-25 academic year.

Students from Wellington's Emerald Cove Middle School learn about the natural chemicals produced by bacteria during a 2024 field trip. Such chemicals may have drug-like properties.
