Research Profile

Kang lab explores a new interdisciplinary field, Nano-Neuroengineering, which integrates expertise in neuroscience, nanotechnology, gene delivery, and expansion microscopy–based super-resolution imaging. By combining these approaches, Kang lab aims to map the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying brain diseases, identify therapeutic targets, and develop nanomedicine-based tools to precisely target and modulate specific brain circuits. Ultimately, Kang lab seeks to bridge neuroscience and nanomedicine to achieve breakthroughs in brain mapping, targeting, modulation, and treatment.
