The Discovery has a native zoom of 1X – 8X with a 1X objective it would be 10X to 80X. There is also a 1.5X objective available which would provide a magnification of 1.5X – 120X. The transmitted light base provides oblique illumination with plenty of contrast for embryos, cells, and nematodes.
