FV3000

Please be advised the maximum amount of time that the confocal can be booked is 3 and 1/2 hours. If you need more time, please contact me for approval.

Objectives:

4X UPLXAPO NA.16 WD 13 mm
10X UPLXAPO NA 0.4 WD 3.1 mm

100X UPLAPOHR OIL NA 1.5 WD 0.12 mm

Diode Lasers – Typical Fluorophores (note the lasers used are duplicated for the Abbelight combiner)
405 50 mW – DAPI
488 20 mW – GFP
561 20 mW – Rhodamine, Texas Red
640 40 mW – Cy5

This microscope has a motorized stage and excellent stitching capabilities. It also has an excellent array of stage top incubation chambers to aid in live cell imaging. There is a TruFocus Z DriftCompensation module that will maintain focus for time lapse experiments.

Abbelight dSTORM / TIRF

STORM utilizes a buffer that has a limited lifetime of use. If you are booking the confocal for a STORM experiment, then a 4 1/2-hour window is permitted.

An Abbelight 180 SAFE dSTORM, TIRF module is connected to the left side imaging port of this microscope further expanding the capabilities to allow it to image with dSTORM Super Resolution technology. Single-molecule localization precision down to 10 nm × 10 nm × 15 nm (X×Y×Z). Nearly 10 times higher resolution than with standard confocal systems with a large field of view of up to 150 x 150μm at 100x.
